Dishonored (2012)

Hello people.
Been a long time! (Again)

I am happy to have finally graduated from my University and am now looking for a job!

Putting that aside and the Korea Trip photos that I am supposed to upload, let's just say it slipped my mind. Even the souvenirs are not totally given away yet. >.<

Anyway, I completed Dishonored on day 2 when it was released in a day's time.
Dishonored is a first person view action stealth game.
One of my favorite genre.

Here's my brief opinion of Dishonored.

It was interesting but it was toooooooooooooooooooooo short.
Even with the max difficulty the game was too easy due to the fact that our protagonist has been given supernatural ability which includes blinking.
That's right, you can teleport and go bonkers around enemies as long as you have enough blue bar.
At a later part of the story you will encounter enemies that can teleport too but once you have figure our their pattern, it's a win.

Game level design wise the area of activity is not too big and not very small either.
It does offer you several different points of entry but again, it isn't much.
Some roofs does not offer you any access at all as it is blocked off so if you have an idea of going through the highest window on top of the highest building and do some stunts with your niffy powers, it just does not work that way.

Choices do affect slightly on future game play and how people reacts but it also isn't much.
Like I mentioned, the game was too short.
Any choices or Special Action done will be shown after you have completed each level.

The image above is an example of the end level screen.
This is one of my non-lethal play through.
Some Special Actions rewards you instead of affecting the story.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience but not much re-playability unless you are an achievement grinder.

I do enjoy it though =D

Verdict: 7 / 10

On a side note, I enjoy the music too!

I have a few PRC friends and they are SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCHHHHHHHH better than you guys behaving like that.

What's the world coming to when elders used to preach that the seniors have to set an example for the juniors.

Looks like that they don't bother anymore only when it comes to concern themselves.

Anyway, might not be PRC.

Can't really say but there's already a lot of bad impressions.

It's also super elementary that in an argument of any sort, the first who hit is always the one wrong.

Aunty, be glad that he did not bleed suffer any injuries else you have more issues on your hand to deal with than this currently.

I am still reluctant to touch it even with the extended endings >.<

Dear boy acting weird!

So our dear Gizmo the energetic little dog who enjoys playing with balls all day long and is our family's official item destroyer.

He basically chew his toys and their bed to bits and pieces.
Poor Snowy's toy were no exceptions either.

At least he did not destroy the old living room sofa we gave them.


Why weird?

FYI, my DAD does not allow us to let our dogs into our house and this picture was taken on a bed - indoor!

One would think he tried to snuck in but nope!
If he did he would have had already done so countless time.
My sister - his mama calls him the sneaky little rat cause he acts like one.

The only champion capable of doing that currently is our dear big boy Whiskey, a golden retriever.
Which he have only done so when it's raining thunder and lightening.

He was acting weird to the point that Mum secretly carry him up to find me to keep him company.

In any case, I think he was lonely.

He used to be in-door more often with my 2nd sister when they were still in Australia.

Guess he is not getting the old attention he is used to when my sister got off from school and work.

He is still cute as he is when lying still using my arm as a pillow.

But all that licking...

I had to take a shower and wash my arms thoroughly before I went off to watch The Bourne Legacy.

Not as good as I had hope but just my opinion.

The break before the storm

Okie dokie.

I have finally submitted all my assignments last night.

So tiring and I was soooo confused trying to complete the Data Flow Diagram which was the only 1 submitted late.

But then after I uploaded it, I found out it was only worth 2 points <_<
And since I submitted late, its now only worth 1 point @_@

Putting that aside, my IT Applications was off to a super epic bad start which I don't feel like recalling again. Now it's better for me to focus more on the last 2 papers.

Not sure if I can pass this module again.

Seriously, this is so troublesome.

I do not know why our school enjoy giving us meek and not so common stuff to study on. And finally now they decided to remove the mathematics part from it when the module is going to be replaced by a GAME development module.

I once went for a job interview and the interviewer asked me what programming language my school taught me. I mentioned one of them being Python and he goes "never heard of it". Free source and meek.

At least the FreeBSD was quite interesting.
Reminds me of Linux and Unix though I hardly ever use them.

Now this week is the study break week and the final battle begins next week *_*

Still not touching any online games in the meanwhile.

They are much harder to stop playing compared to offline games which I can pause and take my own sweet time.


Oh and before I forgot in regards to the new Mass Effect 3 extended ending....

Can't really say I liked that >.<

But it's definitely FAR more better than what was given initially.

Have to say DA series endings are much better off than it was even though it was similar.

Anyway do us a favor next time, no more color selection endings -_-

League of Legends - A not so funny video

I was bored!

So I decided to make a funny video to pass some time.

The sad part, I have forgotten certain functions when editing my video via Song Vegas Pro like multi-layer masking.

I ended up reducing opacity for the multi-layers for some parts.

Works anyway.

At least this time I got the rendering settings correctly I guess :P

Shorter video is still easier to edit and doesn't take up much time.

So yesterday I was practically having a fun night.

Today, karma has decided to return to bite back.

Plagued with a 5 second delay for my last match and 2 matches before that of no team play.

League of Legends, another fun night with friends

So after 2 days of sleepless nights plus getting thrashed in a couple of ranked games due to trollers and a very bad spikey connection for my last game after finishing up my project, I went to sleep for 12 hours straight!

Woke up at 6pm, had a very nice dinner outside with my family and set down to play League of Legends.

Have been wanting to improve my skills and countering thus I told myself to use a different champion every round.

End up it was a pretty good gaming night though I mainly just play AP mid carry, top and jungler.
What to do when most player can only think of killing equals an important role.
Not to forget there are so many selfish players that can't play support roles and whole day farm carry lane + solo RPGers.

No chance to use my Pulsefire Ezreal.

Maokai was probably the only champion I had problem with last night.
He pratically drinks mana like water.

Other than that, I am so proud of my AP Master Yi.
To the point I am banning that build out of my list.

Already knew AP Yi was useless but sometimes there's just this urge to try something I had never done before.

Still have no idea why Ian enjoy AP Yi so much.
Probably cause of the imba healing and dog running skills.

That's right.
My friends and I like to call Master Yi as Dog Yi because most players enjoy using his ult to run away as he cannot be slowed.

The problem though, I wonder why they still do not understand that Dog Yi is so easy to kill when we disable them from running away or when healing.

Anyway it was a pretty fun night.
Just did not have a time to go ranking though which I considered myself lucky.

Heard from my friends it was a trollers gathering day.

Ouch...

My Thoughts: The MRT Saga

I have to say, SG sure is never without surprises.

Let me tell you what I think.
The aunty is a bitch.

Sometimes when we are simply tired or doing something we just do not notice our surroundings.
Though late we will still give the priority seat when we notice so aunty, STFU.
She still gave you your goddamn seat.

Yet you sat down and kaopeh kaobu at the person who gave you the seat you have been eye-ing for.
You demand respect but what about you is there to respect?

Respect is earned, not given.
Do not be mistaken.

To first earn respect, you have to respect others.

Priority seats are given to those in need.
Usually handicaps, pregnant ladies elders and sometimes when we notice injured people.

Even with a freaking non-bandaged injured left leg of mine with a loose ligament I will still give up my seat.

Sometimes the ride is unpleasant because of people like you AUNTY!

Kudos girl.
You did the right thing standing up cause you are really not at fault.
You did ignore her until your TNT exploded, which is normal anyway.
We all have our own patience limits.

Far more better than people who pretend to fall asleep or pretend to not notice anything.

As for how this really started out, no one would really know.
But the most polite Ah Lian is a definite compliment.

Why Can't I Add Friends in Diablo 3? Solution

My friend and I found this out by accident.
Like many gamers out there, we want to play together and have fun but were unable to add each other = we can't play together!

The reason we found out was that we were in different REGION SERVER.
Under GAME OPTIONS -> ACCOUNT you will find the above screen shot location.
By default of mine, it was in AMERICA (same for my friends) but from the start I had changed it to ASIA (I always check my game options before playing games).

We added via Gamertag and Email address but it did not work.
But when my friend switched to the Asia Server, he finally received my friend notification and we can finally see each other in our friend list.

You can switch the region server anytime so no harm anyway.
And FYI in case some gamers do not know, your character are stored separately in the region servers.

For example, you have a Lv10 character in America.
But when you switched to Asia, your character list is blank (because he/she is still in America).
You will have to create a new character in order to play in that server region.

Hope it helps you guys to enjoy the game with your fellow friends =D

FYI, I have no Med background

Another moment at the clinic.

So I went to the doctor after lunch and reception shift.
First in line for consultation and went in.

Me:"I have an infected wound for around a week or so."
Doc:"That's serious, what's the cause?"

Me:"My dog clawed me by accident." -Shows the wound
Doc:"A big dog?"
Me:"Nah, a small naughty Jack terrier mix breed." -Shows picture (points up, yea, that's Gizmo aka Momo)

Doc compares both arms of mine:"Good thing yours is not very serious, its already healing. The (Me:"Abscess?"), ya, the abscess is not present and you just need your last step."

Me:"I broke it and squeezed out everything and slap lots of antiseptic and change the plaster everyday after shower. Until last night I realized there were blotch patches, I squeezed until only blood comes out and decided to see you for the last step. Antibiotic. I can't just get them from pharmacy >.<"

Doc w/ a very surprised pause:"Yup, you can't. It's a controlled drug." You did yourself good and handled it well. FYI you must complete your antibiotic."

Me:"By the way, what were those blotch patches? It moves around when I tried to squeeze them out but to no avail."

Doc:"Those are the infection which were healed while you were sleeping."

Oh....

*pause*

Speechless ._.

Okie dokie.

Been occupied (as usual).

Have totally neglected my blog, my twitter, my youtube and etc~

Video wise, no time for anything.

Every day after I reached home is always shower, dinner and rushed into playing my games.

Most of the time nowadays will be playing HoN, Mass Effect 3 and I suddenly have an urge to play Dragon Age 2 again.

Aiming to beat the game in Nightmare mode but for now, I will do a bit of practice in normal as I need the time to carefully plan out my own skill build.

Plus, my HDDs are out of space to record anything with Fraps T_T


Extended contract ending coming April and will be starting school again in May.

Have no choice but to take 1 of my most hated subject, commonly known as Robotics between students.

So I decided to give myself half a month's time to get my programming back up to speed.

Will not know what to expect for Business Analysis course though.

First time taking it.


And also planning to forgo any 3DS, expensive hardware and games I'm not in a rush to play.

Because I definitely want a laptop to have a peace of mind while in school and for future work purposes.

I personally do not trust school computers <_<

Slow, outdated and restrictive.


Anyway, the next time a stupid guy tries to use the same lame excuse for example:
  "You did not submit your work in time."

I am making sure that I WILL BE using Hypercam to record my entire work submission, screen shot the email and post it anywhere I can think of.

Dear Bioware,

We, the fans, especially the hardcore ones know and are quite prepared that you guys are gonna rip us off...

I personally appreciate all the efforts you guys spent to make such a wonderful franchise over these 5 years.

That's why the endings and the expected rip-offs are a NO-NO.

The reason why ME is a hit is also due to FANS like us to support it.

Willing to spend money to buy it once it's out rather than waiting for discounts or offer or when the pricing drops.

AND being a despo not getting to see the desired outcomes of MANY THINGS from ME3,  you guys are not planning for an April Fool are you? (Been thinking if you guys are actually trying to surprise us or not as some of us are already thinking from the start of the game that our Hero might have been indoctrinated.)

P.S: Every time I replay ME3, my heart aches because of the UNCOMPLETED endings right now and it makes it harder for me to continue. I laugh at the parts meant for and cry especially when certain characters are bound to die no matter what you do to try and save them.

THIS IS INJUSTICE!!!

WE WANT THE CONCLUSIONS WE HAVE BEEN DYING TO SEE TO THE END.

But firstly, happy 2012 peeps!

Here comes the year of the Dragon and me going to be 24 this year o.o

Time sure flies.

Work is still going on steady but hard for me to balance up my hobbies.

Always having the thought that I need more time.

My friend once jokingly asked me why I did not had a gaming job instead :P

I replied that even a tester needs to know a certain degree of programming in order to know how to locate the bugs and etc.

Sure I would love to have a gaming related job.

It's like a dream job for me >.<

Anyway, school side still the same stuffs just that I will be starting next semester instead.


Work wise...

Have not made up my mind if I would like to continue or not.

There are always ups and downs and I can't seem to decide properly.

New year and new problems but new things to experience too!
