Connection Resumed - Up and Running

Actually, connection was restored a week back :P
But still unstable!
Did 2 different speed test and still only gave me 20-30mbps out of 100mbps during non-peak hour.
Wasn't able to update too due to slight stupid flu.
Not serious but it adds burden to a terrible backache!
Anyway, alive right now.

Been awhile since I last updated my YouTube account maybe I should do something before 1st July arrive.
Partly also due to me planning to do my Assignment 2 near July period and now add-on with the news that the pathway for my cohort has expired.
I will need to send an email to the course coordinator ASAP and also to clarify some 1 or 2 module.
Seriously, motivation is still low...
Once in a while I "caught" myself just staring into my computer screen for 20-30minutes plus doing nothing.
Getting harder and harder to concentrate too.
Think it might be related to me not exercising like I used to.

And, so, ya.
I got fat >.<
But good that my calf muscles have FINALLY soften down considerably compared to these few years.
Think I will just mainly do cross-trainers for now.

Connection Down

As I was complaining on Facebook before posting here.
Anyway, no updates for now until I get my connection back.
Am currently in school waiting for my turn for project evaluation.
Which equals to me preparing to fail my assignment 1...

Why?
For someone with a diploma in IT, I am not skilled at all.
I only took IT because I was interested in it but I am still slow in learning it properly.
I can't even type some simple codes without a reference from my previous codes or using internet.
And no, you might be thinking the more you use the more familiar you should be; it doesn't work that way with me.
It's weird but I know.
This is also partially due to lack of practice as there are periods where I will become extremely bored and put the stuff aside and find something else to do.

The only code which is the simplest to remember even for a dummy is IF and ELSE and ELSE IF.
It's so universal (lol).

But why still stick with IT?
I like it still, but I also hate it.

And since now my internet is down no thanks to StarHub and my old school drive which contains all my old poly and university notes and projects was formatted by mistake by the techie, I am basically a sitting duck waiting for my turn to fail.

Will be going down to the ICA building later to renew my passport which equals to $70 (?) gone from my wallet soon. I just hope they don't fuss with my passport photo like the last time when I was doing my IC. Light issues in the photo or something.


At least I finally get the chance to change that super OLD passport picture!

Joke of the Year

I failed the joke of a paper.
Ah well.
No point crying over spilled milk.
I just find it harder to concentrate ever since last year.
Anyway, need to focus more which I doubt I would be able to but at least just clear my last 2 papers.
Which kinda seems to be taking forever.

Still find it lame that there is no option just to retake the paper.
I don't see the point of re-taking the module and waste another trimester.
Will be looking for a job to do soon.

Not to mention a BSoD yesterday.
Hopefully it's just a tyco issue.

School has started (again) and it's now back to ASP.Net which I soooooooooooooooooooo forgot almost everything!
Actually, more like I even forgot most of my VB codes.
That's what happens when out of touch =/

And yes...
It's still freaking HOT!
I can't even sleep in peace at night.
I would wake up around 2 to 3am and realized my whole shirt was filled with sweat!

Thanks to that I think I had been showering at least 3 to 4 times a day.
Went to my mum's room for my afternoon nap yesterday and for the air-con.
So shiock but dry.
Thanks to both the air-con and the heat.
Also not to forget I had slight dehydration 2 days back and fell a bit sick yesterday.

2 things I hate about Garena Dota-ing

I am not a pro at gaming.
I do not remember calling myself a pro.
But that does not mean I do not know how to play DoTA.

1 - Map Hackers

1st, apology to iggywOw who played Morphling.
Never mind if it's read or not.
It's my own conscience anyway and something I want to do.

After watching the replay, he did not map hack.
Wrong accusation. Our side's fault.
It was the Earthshaker confirm plus chop who map hack aka Ju5tified <- just blacklist him thank you.

They have no WARDS.
Who always farm on a single laner EVERY TIME without FAIL. (Veno was really just unlucky).
Who always go hunt and kill our Troll aka wenwen0202 who Lothar-ed to check and Ward their NC several times.

The ES who ALWAYS fissure and stun hero just right at the end of it while in FOG of WAR or when INVI.

However, IF you 2 were friends and were working together...
F*** YOU!

2 - Sore losers who can do nothing but NATO in winning team.

A Jug who can't win any 3 of my friends and I while 1 on 1.

An idiot Jug who Omnislash at Lycan (me) who had summoned wolves, Ulti to wolf form with own creeps in front of tower and then Blade Fury to try to escape and TP but still got killed by me.

He can't even kill Miki who was using Ursa the 1st time today.

Oh not to mention an idiot Jug who did not wait for ES to Ulti 1st to clear the surrounding and just Omnislash in a gank thinking he would not get caught. Which was again in front of the tower with creeps.

And just by chance we saw him and gank him (no wards though) he complained we map hack.

What else from wenwen?
He actually wanted to scold "Jug stfu, I don't see you in action at all!"
Ya, wenwen is a HE :P

Jug's player?
Why bother? He might not be good with that hero but good with others but we don't care.
They can actually end earlier if have better team work but the other players were just NC farmers and Morphling can't break through our base alone.
Which ends up dragging the game to 60mins plus.

Icarus - Phoenix

After 3 tries with this fella, this is what I think.
Long Range Sun Ray chase hero Imba. Close Combat = GG.
For a strength hero, Icarus is like paper when trapped and wacked in close range or melee due to low armor.
I am not that of a hardcore player to find out about his stats gain and etc so peeps try checking out the DoTA forums instead.
At least the Dive skill makes up for him to escape.
Can't Roshan too!

But his Ultimate is very useful. I only had to RTB twice throughout the whole game and keep hunting the AIs in different ways I can think of with Icarus.
The only thing I cannot fully experience is when a gank occurs.
The reason is quite obvious aye.
LoLx.

But still AIs in the end and the AI scripts still bugged.
The enemy heros will not attack the Supernova egg at all.
I confirmed that a couple of times when I purposely dived into the whole enemy group and lay the egg there.
If I were playing with pub and good/pro players were there = instant GG for my Icarus =P

1st try was when playing with pub but no idea how to use.
2nd and 3rd was trying him out with the new 6.70c AI R2 DoTA map today.

KeNa tried the Guardian Wisp and managed to kill 1 enemy hero.
He last hit Naga's prey tho.
And the amount of Aura he stacked was damn imba too! Haha.

Now the rest of the fellas are busy CSS-ing now.
Can't join in cause Mum streaming dramas again.
Maybe I will go take a nap or something.
Feeling kind of drained.

No way I will toss my beloved computer like that though!

We mostly gave up last year caused it was too hectic and confusing.
And the scoring is unbelievably stupid for everyone.
Some even gave up right after the first assignment just to focus on the other modules.

So most of us failed our project miserably and we try to depend on the paper.
But the paper too was a bad joke.
And so most of us were prepared to fail and take something else.

But too bad for me I have no other choices left to replace my Robotics module, I took up the same module again this trimester cause I want to graduate this year!

So now this trimester I believe almost every team managed to pass their project so it came down to the papers this morning. We need to pass it to pass the module (which was not the choice available for us last year. We had to pass both if I remember correctly).


Anyway, most of us who retook this studied hard cause of the horrors we experienced.

Well, maybe not everyone and I was not THAT motivated for this module.
To move on, the 2 hour for this morning paper...
Was a ridiculous lame and stupid joke.
Everyone who did the paper last year commented the same thing.

Compared to the paper last year.
It was..
TOO EASY!

Well, it's a good news that it kind of pisses me off.
Makes it look like my cohort were the guinea pigs.
And now 1 freaking module costs roughly SGD 1.5K!

The bad news of this?
Well, the questions were those easy to overlooked but not that forgettable.
Codings? I believe most of us ignored it cause it will be a waste of time.
Lucky programming questions were really limited to only MCQs.

I will not hope to pass cause I want to pass.
I did everything I can and could.
But the mood is still bad.

So I am gonna defuse myself before it gets worst partially thanks to lack of sleep.
Basically, grumpy.

One and only paper this semester..
The python paper.
Hopefully no... dramatic screw ups since project passed.

And to save my sanity, I did not bother trying to memorize the langton ant and game of life codes even though it came out last year (which our staff say no need to study programming codes, not included, which ends up shortening half of our life spans when we read the last 2 questions).

50 MCQs and 10 short questions.
In any case I just need to pass this paper to overall pass this module.

Well. Taking a gamble since staff said mostly based on project management.
So did not really touch up on the python codes since those will be in MCQs.
Gonna just read it algorithmically since programming languages code are almost the same minus the stupid syntax and ways to define, declare, initialize and etc.

Hope my own basic understanding would be enough.

Or not.

Hoping is not gonna get me anywhere.

I will just have to find a way by myself as usual.

Short story but good impact~

I like.

Sometimes you really want to put a bullet into the damn idiot sitting behind a desk and giving ridiculous orders and such. Like a boss of a programmer asking you to complete the project with an unrealistic deadline.
Personal favorite part?

"Looks like we lost the VCTV" or whatever it is.

The AI was pretty easy and I completed the game in maybe around 2 hours even though I played on Hard on first time round unlike CoD's.

Can still remember the AIs all aiming for player only.

And since I can on everything on MAX with no worries about my GFX overheating and computer giving BSOD....

I am now tempted to find my CD and reinstall CoD4:MW and play through the story again.
Save files are gone but gonna be happy to play the sniper part once again.
I think till now CoD4 is still 1 of my top favorite.

PS: I still hate the dogs though >.<

The very first RTS game I touched was Shogun Total War. The very very first one of the total war series. I remember that I got that game from my cousin, Gary when I went to his house to borrow some games to play.

And I remember flooding the whole map with spies so I do not have to initiate or declare war.
Just wait for the province to have riot and send my army in there and occupy it. LoL.
No repercussions at all!

Now to play my DAO.

I did not back up my save files cause it was a rush to upgrade my com asap cause it was too freaking slow in whatever it is doing cause I underclocked it to prevent it from giving me death screens both blue and black!
:P

Anyway, now I am re-doing my very first character I played throughout my 1st try.
A dual sword rogue. More on cunning than strength.
I prefer it to strike fast fast with dual daggers than 2 broadswords/longswords.

Just an average player but now is like I am super below average!

The Reason I Think I am Stress

I NEED TO UPGRADE MY COMPUTER!
ARGGGG!!!!

It's been getting more and more slower.
As well as..... laggish..
Not that much so I can still take it for normal use but not when it starts jamming and I have to start waiting for it to recover or just restart it.

What's more pathetic?
I am not a hardcore gamer...
More of a in-between causal and hardcore type. (Semi-hardcore?)
And I had to UNDERCLOCK my computer, which also includes the GFX just to make sure it does not die on me during normal use and gaming.
Oh, and it's not driver problem cause I had already updated it to the newest one that was released on Jan2011.
It is also partly due to the pathetic 9600GT.

In case you do not know the problem with it, 9600GT is just 8800 power up w/o solving its initial problems like the TEMPERATURE, put a new name and poof - new product, come and buy it!
A sad fact that I only found out months later after I bought it.
It's also partly due to my budget casing which only cost me $30.
Time to change that too!

Thank to that, I can hardly play anything at all since some of my games like Fallout: New Vegas would crash at some random point.
Just by loading a new turn in Civ5 can lag to boredom too.
Not to mention running my Python program can also cause it to hang or freeze up sometimes but it will let off after I don't known how long.

Need to look into more parts info before I make my move!
Budget around 1.4k which can fetch me a decent 1.

Since as usual I can't sleep, decided to go back to Civ5.
Still have quite a few achievements not yet complete, excluding all the other DLCs.
Sad to say, my plan for a Cultural Victory has failed again!
I used India with only a Capital cause I also want to get another achievement, "One to Rule them All".
Was playing on King difficulty. I move difficulty up by 1 level every time I earn a victory.
Arab had the strongest military but Persia built United Nations, had the most vote and down the culture chance went >.<

Will be trying again after school.
This time, I have already set the game up using Egypt.
The higher level AI tends to steal the Wonders so easily even though I went to deforesting mode for increased production.
(Unique) Egypt's 20% wonder production rate + (Social Policy) Tradition's 20% wonder construction = I don't know yet!

Un-Sleep-able

Well.
What can I do when my body system is still screwed up.

Time to get a damn loud alarm clock I guess..

No point in me trying to sleep early either.

That which happened on last Thursday plus 3 hours of... time wasted trying to sleep!
I think I only managed to start to sleep around 5AM or so.
Couple that with stomach ache problems.
