Dead Space

Have finally decided to complete Dead Space and done so just 5 minutes ago.

The only reason why I did not want to touch it was due to the mouse lag issue and I did not want to proceed on with Dead Space 2 without playing the first one.

It's a bitch but there's also a small solution for it.

For people who does not know it yet all you have to do is to lower your in game mouse sensitivity to the lowest and up your mouse DPI/sensitivity to the highest available.

It's not perfect but still gets the job done.

There's only 2 complains I have.

Even with the small solution to the mouse lag I still get dizzy easily.
Any rigid camera movements and that's it for me.
Not only I feel sick - I also feel angry - because I simply dislike ported games with no fix to the issues.

Then the communication from the Rig suit.
That's probably the only thing that startled me.
I personally find it irritating as it's like a phone call without you being able to press answer and it just pops up.

I also personally find Kendra both irritating and annoying.
Thank goodness at least she was out of the picture finally at the end.

Time to move on to Dead Space 2.
Looking forward to it later as my friend told me it does not have the mouse lag issue so I should not have much problem going through the game in preparation for Dead Space 3!

Dead Space 3 is coming out in Feb 2013 soon and I can't wait.



Especially since I have Mass Effect 3 I really want to play it with the N7 armor =D

Tried the Demo today with my friend on PS3 console and its pretty good.

Just that it's a very short demo.

And dear EA origins...

What's the point of giving the original Dead Space for pre-order players who owned it?

And to people that are still unable to differentiate the real and the fake - take a good look at their logo.

Reckless Lorry Driver - Shame on you!

I actually wanted to go sleep after my previous post but after watching a certain video clip...

Let's just say I am currently like this:

The video is almost a week old and it has already gone viral.

To tell you the truth I am actually surprised that the driver had it recorded - kudos to the helpful fella!



Oh come on!

Would it KILL you to wait for a better and safer timing first before attempting to take over that motorcyclist?!

It would actually seem like the motorcyclist is road hogging but look at the video in front of the motorcyclist - she was actually at a safe distance behind another vehicle.

Not all motorcyclist enjoy zip zapping through lanes because they know how dangerous it is.

Look at the distance the car driver who took the video maintained.

Look at the distance the other vehicles on the other lanes maintained between one another.

Look at the distance of that damn lorry - I do not notice the appropriate safe gap for vehicles on the expressway going on at a reasonable high speed!

It should be quite pressurizing for the motorcyclist.

Imagine you yourself on a bike with a damn lorry urging behind you to "hurry up" when you simply can't or do not have the option to do so.

Then the biker gets rammed.

Tsk!

More car accidents AGAIN!

Even if he did manage to take over it's still square one - there's the other car in front.

What's the lorry driver gonna do?

Attempt another take over?

This is Singapore.

An urban small island city country.

A barely visible small dot on the world map.

Not the big country/state/province with long wide roads.

Please be more considerate.

Singapore is already over crowded with other issues.

Singapore is safe - yes - from most natural disasters like typhoons/cyclones/hurricanes simply because Singapore is located near the equator and they do not travel across the Earth's equator due to Coriolis force.

However, Singapore is definitely not safe from inconsiderate and insensitive retards with no patience.

I for one get pissed off easily whenever I encounter laggy game sessions.

Who would like it when you simply can't control what you want to do properly?

As well as people who likes to complain that video games makes us player more violent.

Other than that - most of us are fine actually.

 The gaming community do consist of players like this though.

Though FB games ain't exactly video games they are still games.

But if those hardcore FB gamers were to actually play a game like Diablo 3?

I have no doubt their farming ability rivals the China farmers.

No offense to people who do not understand - I was referring to China in-game money farmers and the likes.

Sometimes people become violent due to society craps and they end up with a different persona.

In the end it's the environment - the place where one has grown up and experience in affects them. Not just video games alone.

Why don't you guys who love to complain so much for a scape goat look into a mirror and dare say you did not do anything verbally, mentally or physically damaging to another person's life even when you are still a kid?

I pretty much am sure you don't care because for you it's simply the case of toying around with ants when you have the option to do so.

As mentioned we simply like what we do.

Most of us usually have the same routine during holidays.

Of course we have to go to school or work.

We also go out and meet with friends and gatherings and events and sometime shopping.

Yes - shopping.

Depending on the person it may be online shopping.

Else how are we gonna sate our gaming needs?

We do need our gaming supplies.

But that does not mean we are lifeless.

Our life in society is so restricted.

We only have one single life to live on but why not experience something we definitely aren't able to enjoy in real life?

We get to have our acquired different persona while gaming.

We get to experience many different stories.

We cry when the story is just so heart breaking or when our favorite character had to die.

We make new friends online and share the gaming adventures and experience.

We laugh at the funny scenes or mistakes that we make.

We simply still live like a normal human except that we want to experience more things in life.

That's true for everyone no?

Minus the fact you have to spend money everywhere you go.

Might as well sit in front of my consoles and at least see them with my own eyes.

And from common contrary beliefs from the past, games do not make gamers stupid or lazy.

If that is so then babies or kids are gonna be bored to death before they can grow to become at least a teenager from which this point they are no better than a machine.

Some games do require fast decision making and reaction fyi.

Stop trying to label what we enjoy as so.

Because you simply tick us in the wrong way.

Dishonored (2012)

Hello people.
Been a long time! (Again)

I am happy to have finally graduated from my University and am now looking for a job!

Putting that aside and the Korea Trip photos that I am supposed to upload, let's just say it slipped my mind. Even the souvenirs are not totally given away yet. >.<

Anyway, I completed Dishonored on day 2 when it was released in a day's time.
Dishonored is a first person view action stealth game.
One of my favorite genre.

Here's my brief opinion of Dishonored.

It was interesting but it was toooooooooooooooooooooo short.
Even with the max difficulty the game was too easy due to the fact that our protagonist has been given supernatural ability which includes blinking.
That's right, you can teleport and go bonkers around enemies as long as you have enough blue bar.
At a later part of the story you will encounter enemies that can teleport too but once you have figure our their pattern, it's a win.

Game level design wise the area of activity is not too big and not very small either.
It does offer you several different points of entry but again, it isn't much.
Some roofs does not offer you any access at all as it is blocked off so if you have an idea of going through the highest window on top of the highest building and do some stunts with your niffy powers, it just does not work that way.

Choices do affect slightly on future game play and how people reacts but it also isn't much.
Like I mentioned, the game was too short.
Any choices or Special Action done will be shown after you have completed each level.

The image above is an example of the end level screen.
This is one of my non-lethal play through.
Some Special Actions rewards you instead of affecting the story.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience but not much re-playability unless you are an achievement grinder.

I do enjoy it though =D

Verdict: 7 / 10

On a side note, I enjoy the music too!

Dear boy acting weird!

So our dear Gizmo the energetic little dog who enjoys playing with balls all day long and is our family's official item destroyer.

He basically chew his toys and their bed to bits and pieces.
Poor Snowy's toy were no exceptions either.

At least he did not destroy the old living room sofa we gave them.


Why weird?

FYI, my DAD does not allow us to let our dogs into our house and this picture was taken on a bed - indoor!

One would think he tried to snuck in but nope!
If he did he would have had already done so countless time.
My sister - his mama calls him the sneaky little rat cause he acts like one.

The only champion capable of doing that currently is our dear big boy Whiskey, a golden retriever.
Which he have only done so when it's raining thunder and lightening.

He was acting weird to the point that Mum secretly carry him up to find me to keep him company.

In any case, I think he was lonely.

He used to be in-door more often with my 2nd sister when they were still in Australia.

Guess he is not getting the old attention he is used to when my sister got off from school and work.

He is still cute as he is when lying still using my arm as a pillow.

But all that licking...

I had to take a shower and wash my arms thoroughly before I went off to watch The Bourne Legacy.

Not as good as I had hope but just my opinion.

The break before the storm

Okie dokie.

I have finally submitted all my assignments last night.

So tiring and I was soooo confused trying to complete the Data Flow Diagram which was the only 1 submitted late.

But then after I uploaded it, I found out it was only worth 2 points <_<
And since I submitted late, its now only worth 1 point @_@

Putting that aside, my IT Applications was off to a super epic bad start which I don't feel like recalling again. Now it's better for me to focus more on the last 2 papers.

Not sure if I can pass this module again.

Seriously, this is so troublesome.

I do not know why our school enjoy giving us meek and not so common stuff to study on. And finally now they decided to remove the mathematics part from it when the module is going to be replaced by a GAME development module.

I once went for a job interview and the interviewer asked me what programming language my school taught me. I mentioned one of them being Python and he goes "never heard of it". Free source and meek.

At least the FreeBSD was quite interesting.
Reminds me of Linux and Unix though I hardly ever use them.

Now this week is the study break week and the final battle begins next week *_*

Still not touching any online games in the meanwhile.

They are much harder to stop playing compared to offline games which I can pause and take my own sweet time.


Oh and before I forgot in regards to the new Mass Effect 3 extended ending....

Can't really say I liked that >.<

But it's definitely FAR more better than what was given initially.

Have to say DA series endings are much better off than it was even though it was similar.

Anyway do us a favor next time, no more color selection endings -_-
